- WHAT…Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
- WHERE…Portions of western Maine, including the following areas,
Interior Cumberland Highlands, Northern Oxford and Southern
Oxford. Portions of New Hampshire, including the following areas,
Belknap, Cheshire, Eastern Hillsborough, Interior Rockingham,
Merrimack, Northern Carroll, Northern Coos, Northern Grafton,
Southern Carroll, Southern Coos, Southern Grafton, Strafford,
Sullivan and Western And Central Hillsborough.
- WHEN…Through this evening.
- IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
- ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
- A slow moving frontal system will move across Maine and New
Hampshire today. Numerous showers and thunderstorms are
expected in the watch area today, with localized amounts of
up to 3 inches possible where showers and storms move over
the same areas. Rainfall rates in the heaviest storms may
exceed 2 inches per hour.
