    Rockland, moving east at 35 knots. HAZARD…Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail. SOURCE…Radar. IMPACT…Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
    suddenly higher waves.

…A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM EDT FOR EAST
CENTRAL CHESHIRE AND WESTERN HILLSBOROUGH COUNTIES…

At 258 PM EDT, a confirmed tornado was located over Roxbury, or near
Keene, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Damaging tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Weather spotters confirmed tornado.

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

This tornado will be near…
Jaffrey and Harrisville around 305 PM EDT.
Dublin around 310 PM EDT.
Hancock around 320 PM EDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.

Heavy rainfall on already wet ground could lead to rapid runoff and

deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.

SKYWARN Activation Requested – 07/27/23

Good Morning,

SKYWARN Activation is requested today due to the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms and flash flooding across New Hampshire and Western Maine. The primary time period of impacts would be from 12 to 8pm. A remote weather net operator is requested. Any method possible to send in severe weather and flooding reports is acceptable, with the preferred method being population of the SKYWARN NET Reporting Google Sheet.


SKYWARN Activation is requested for this afternoon and evening (12pm – 8pm) to monitor the potential for strong thunderstorms and flash flooding across New Hampshire and Western Maine.

Please activate local nets as needed and help out as you can. This can include monitoring public service channels in effected areas as well as collecting reports via Amateur Radio.

Amateur Radio call ups will be made on the DMR SKYWARN Talk Group (759) throughout the afternoon and evening.
