  • At 302 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles southwest
    of Hanover, or 9 miles west of Lebanon, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
    to roofs, siding, and trees.
  • Locations impacted include…
    Lebanon, New London, Grafton, Hanover, Enfield, Canaan, Groton,
    Grantham, Lyme, Cornish, Croydon, Dorchester, Plainfield, Orange,
    Springfield, Sunapee and Wilmot.

Good Morning SKYWARN Team,

Severe thunderstorms are expected this afternoon. We would like to request SKYWARN Activation for this afternoon. Storms will begin in the north and west and progress through the CWA. Damaging winds are the largest threat, but tornadoes and hail are possible too. Very heavy rain will also occur with these storms.

As mentioned above, severe thunderstoms capable of producing damaging winds, hail, and torrential rainfall are expected to impact portions of the NWS Gray warning area this afternoon and evening.

SKYWARN Amateur Radio ops will begin on DMR SKYWARN Talk Group (759) and will monitor other area repeaters as the storms progress eastward. Please activate local and county level SKYWARN nets as needed.

At 659 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Thetford Hill State Park to White
River Junction. Movement was east at 30 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include…
Lebanon, Grafton, Hanover, Enfield, Canaan, Groton, Grantham, Lyme,
Dorchester, Wentworth, Orange, Orford, Rumney, Springfield and
Plainfield.

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM EDT FOR EAST
CENTRAL AROOSTOOK COUNTY...

At 512 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Ashland, or 12 miles south of Portage, moving east
at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is
         likely.

This dangerous storm will be near...
  Nashville Plantation around 525 PM EDT.
  Ashland around 540 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Scopan
Mountain, Squa Pan, Castle Hill, Garfield, Nashville, Chapman and
Wade.

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
