…SIGNIFICANT SNOWSTORM TO AFFECT THE REGION THROUGH TUESDAY…
.Snow will continue to expand northward this evening and become
heavy at times, especially across southern New Hampshire. The snow
will taper off Tuesday morning and may turn to freezing drizzle by
Tuesday afternoon. Power outages will be possible near the coast
tonight into Tuesday as winds possibly gust up to 45 MPH. Near
blizzard conditions will be possible near the coast as heavy snow
and winds combine to produce low visibilities.

…WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST TUESDAY…
- WHAT…Heavy snow. Snow accumulations of 6 to 13 inches. Locally
higher amounts of around 15 inches possible in southeasternmost
New Hampshire as well as in the Monadnock Mountains. Winds gusting
as high as 45 mph near the coast. Near blizzard conditions
possible tonight near and just inland from the coast. - WHERE…Portions of south central and southwest Maine. Portions of
central and southern New Hampshire. - WHEN…Until 7 PM EST Tuesday.
- IMPACTS…Travel will be very difficult due to low visibility and
snow covered roads. The hazardous conditions will severely impact
the Tuesday morning commute. - ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snowfall rates of up to 2 inches per hour are
expected tonight. Power outages will be possible. The snow may
become heavy and wet later tonight near the coast.
